Comment:: According to the building code, nine inspections should be conducted during the construction process. Each inspection occurs within 48 hours of being requested by the contractor for review. However, only three occur in practice. There are no fees for the inspections.

Comment:: The inspection is conducted by the electrical division of the Development and Planning Corporation. If the building passes inspection, it receives a certificate permitting the electricity installation.

Comment:: To obtain an electricity connection, BuildCo must comply with official requirements that require the customer to provide load requirements, voltage(s), and watts; submit a certification of installation from the government’s electrical division; and pay a contribution toward the power supply connection. Where a line extension is required, the customer must give the company much advance notice.
