Depending on the company’s capital, the fee ranges from XAF 125,000 to XAF 175,000 if the notary public drafts the bylaws and statutes. A fixed fee of XAF 100,000 applies if the incorporation documents are drafted by the founders and only notarized. In both cases, a fee of XAF 56,125 applies for the declaration of subscription of capital (déclaration de subscription). Although not yet been implemented, a reform initiative proposes to harmonize notary fees for drafting the bylaws and statutes at a fixed fee of 3% of company capital. At present, fees vary widely among notaries.
