Doing Business in China -- China as a whole is actively promoting reform of the business regulatory environment: some 53 reforms were recorded at the municipal or provincial level from 2006 to early 2007. However, there are large variations in performance in cities across China influenced by local government efficiency and practices in implementing national laws and regulations. Those in the coastal areas generally ranked best.
Doing Business in China 2008 compares results across the country for starting a business, registering property, getting credit and enforcing contracts.
