1 Submit application for and await energy consent with customer office of EVN

The energy consent is a two page document which contains the approval of the connection and a sketch with the connection point. Documents to be submitted are: property list and internal electrical wiring plans, and certification from electrician on internal wiring compliance.

After submission of the application, a representative of EVN visits the warehouse to inspect the site.

3 Pay estimate and await completion of external connection works by EVN

After the customer has received the energy consent, he/she pays the estimate and waits for the external connection works. EVN hires a subcontractor who does works, however the customer deals with EVN directly. EVN/subcontractor does the design,, if necessary purchases and installs the transformer, cables and meter. The subcontractor can not start with performing of the external connection without prior written consent on the project for external connection issued by side of EVN. The subcontractor is obliged to inform EVN for finishing of each phase according to the project for external connection and EVN inspects the finished works. Once external works are over, the subcontractor informs EVR, and a technical commission is formed by EVN with their own experts. This commission comes to the site to check the external connection works (the works are done by a subcontractor of EVN). The technical acceptance for the power connection shall be done automatically by an EVN inspection body because the connection including the transformer unit shall be built by EVN/subcontractor. The owner does not need to be present during the inspection because the ownership of the equipment belongs to EVN.

4 Await and receive technical acceptance of distribution transformer

A technical commission is formed by EVN with their own experts. This commission comes to the site to check the external connection works (the works are done by a subcontractor of EVN). The subcontractor is information EVN when the works are done. Although the owner or contractor need not be present during this inspection, it is common that they are present.
